The Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize returns for its 17th year, showcasing the work of talented young photographers, gifted amateurs and established professionals in the very best of contemporary photography. The competition celebrates a diverse range of images and tells the fascinating stories behind the creation of works, from formal commissioned portraits to more spontaneous and intimate moments capturing friends and family.

The Portrait of Humanity award by British Journal of Photography – one of the world’s most viewed photographic exhibitions – celebrates diversity, community and unity through photography. Thirty winning images and three winning bodies of work will be exhibited internationally at Four Corners Gallery, London, Indian Photo Festival, Hyderabad, and Fotofestiwal’s Night of Photograpy, Łódź. All 200 shortlisted images feature in a book, Portrait of Humanity Volume 6, published in September by Bluecoat Press.
