When Castro arrived on the world stage in the 1950s, he quickly utilised the power of photography to seduce the masses.
As soon as news of Fidel's death became public, I booked the next available plane out to Cuba. Over 5 days I traveled the entire length of the country following Fidel’s funeral cortege from Havana to Santiago de Cuba, witnessing hundreds of thousand of Cubans attend mass eulogies, vigils and line central highways to pay their respects to their “Un Mito” or “Padre”.
